I am self taught and studied the technique of photo-realistic drawing for about 3 years, having had to retire from engineering early through developing repetitive strain injury to my thumb joints.

I was very much influenced by American artist J D Hilberry and learned from his book how to produce realistic textures with pencils, I produced many portraits for friends and family using this technique, I then discovered that the technique lent itself to producing pictures of my great love : CLASSIC CARS.

The results that you see are scanned fom the original A3 art work, which are in pencil. Each original takes about one week to produce.
