OldClassicCar was launched in 2002, and this new section was launched in May 2004 to feature motoring artist John Hayes, and his portfolio.

John has been painting and drawing for many years, and has recently included motorcar subjects in his extensive range of works. Most recently he was commissioned by the Bugatti Owners Club for a series of artwork.

John’s favorite medium is graphite; he gets great satisfaction in producing photo-realistic images in this classic pencil format. Using the techniques of the old masters, each drawing takes many hours to complete because of the attention to highlights, contrast and reflections. The end result is a piece of very satisfying artwork both for himself and his clients.

This website presents some of his pencil drawings, which are available as A3 (12” x16”) prints for £18 inc UK postage, and can be purchased using your credit card through Paypal (link in the righthand column on the image pages).

The left hand menu presents a selection of his current portfolio. He is also able to undertake personal commissions, so you can have your favorite vehicle immortalized forever on your wall.
